Coffee with an INFP

Hey, y'all! Long time, no see. This past year has been, interesting, to say the least, and I am sorry I haven't been posting on anything lately. As life slowly goes back to normal (or whatever this is), I would like to get back on a regular posting schedule. I have some really cool ideas and projects planned for the future of this blog! I really hope that you guys like them as I slowly start rolling them out.

This article begins the first in a series, in which I sit down and interview each of the types about their lives, hobbies, ideas, and dreams. I decided to start with the INFP, truly one of my favorite types. Thank you to my very sweet friend, Sylvia Emberden, for sitting down with me and doing this. Without further ado, let's get into the interview :).

What is the best compliment you could ever receive?

"That I am a decent, kind person." (insert awkward INFP giggle lol).

How do you cope with stress?

"I try to stay calm, but I am honestly freaking out inside. I try not to show it."

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

"Either teleportation or invisibility. Teleportation because you could get around easily and not have to worry about being late or looking at the time. That would be nice. And invisibility because no one could see me and I could be kind of mischievous, and I would like that."

What is your worst habit?

"Forgetting stuff."

What personality traits do you see in others that you do not possess, but wish you did?

"Ooh, (a minute of silence) the ability to understand my own feelings. Because I don't."

Favorite song(s)?

"It's Quiet Uptown- Hamilton, anything from Breaking Benjamin in general, Grow as we Go- Ben Platt that one is really good. Also, Always- Christian Stanfield and Dear Daughter- Hailstorm."

Favorite types?

"I really don't care."

Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist?

"I'd like to consider myself an optimist, although I am not so sure."

How do you respond to authority?

"I try to respect them and not get in trouble with them."

Do you feel like people talk down to you?

"Not usually, no."

Would you consider yourself to have a large circle of friends?

"Haha, no. I know people and consider them my friends, but as for hanging out with people, not really. I mean, you can be friends with people and not want to hang out with them. Toxic people man..."

What would you change your name to, if you could have any name in the world?

"Clarice, I don't know why I just love it."

What do you fear most?

"Pain. Like physical pain. Like I'm getting stabbed pain. (Thinks for a moment). But actually heartbreak. Heartbreak really stinks, but so does physical pain, so."

What do you do in your free time?

"I stay alone. I read, scroll Pinterest, sleep, draw from time to time, practice flag (yay color guard!) and worry about life..."

What would say to any other infps as a word of encouragement?

"Be yourself, don't let your type define you."

(insert our ISFP friend) "Wow, that's way nicer than what I would have said. I woulda been like, 'you don't matter in the grand scheme of things haha.' Wait, don't put that in there, I'm just kidding!"

Thank you so much to Sylvia for taking the time to sit down with me and discuss these things. I hope that I will be able to make the interviews a little more in-depth as we go along. During the time of this interview, we were sadly a little pushed for time.

Thank you for visiting my blog and God bless!!
